Dave retired from the U.S. Navy in 1981.  I retired in 2008 from the State of Michigan, and also was enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps back in the late "60's"   We lived over 30 years in Traverse City, MI, but I grew up in Otsego, MI and graduated from school here in 1966.  Dave is from the Toledo, OH area and has served all over the world aboard ships, as well as five years in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on the (Navy) police force using a drug dog.   We have one son in Traverse City (he has two daughters age 7 and 9); and two daughters in Washington State (one with a 13 yr old son; and one daughter with a 16 yr. old step daughter and an 18 yr old son).   We have many relatives in the Otsego area.  We have spent the last three winters in Las Vegas, NV, where one of my brothers lives with his family.  We are still debating where we will spend the upcoming winter, as we think we may give Florida a try.  If anyone has suggestions on a nice RV park in mid-Florida, stop by lot 129 and tell us all about it.
